A junior at Millburn High, Shaayan loves studying History and is a multi-History Bee and History Bowl national semifinalist.
He is the President of Millburn’s History Club, under which he has spearheaded the Millburn History Journal, focusing on documenting historical discourse in an accessible, school newspaper format. Continuing his Commendation from the Julia Wood History Essay Prize, he has contributed to research studying the 18th & 19th century Baojia system, hoping to write his own piece of scholarship on Diasporic Communities someday.
Apart from academics, Shaayan is a national-level archer and founded the ArrowRise Initiative, geared towards providing archery training and opportunities to underprivileged communities.
